PEPOT ATIENZA
Pepot Atienza also known as Pepot ART is a children's book illustrator and multi-disciplined artist based in Quezon Province, Philippines. He worked as motion graphics artist and animator for ABS-CBN's Yey! Kids Channel.
Later on he pursued his passion in creating illustrations for children and loves experimenting with different art mediums for his book illustration works. His diorama and children's illustration artworks has been recognized by both local and international illustration award-giving bodies and are notable for its uniqueness in style. He is a recipient of awards such as:
• 2019 Scholatic Asia Picture Book Award, Finalist – Singapore
• 2017 ASEAN Children's Book Illustrator, Best in Fiction for 'Malong The Magic Cloth' at the International Content Rights Fair - Chiang Mai, Thailand.
• 2016 AFCCSketch People’s Choice in the Asian Festival of Children’s Content - Singapore
• 2015 Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY)-Alcala Prize - Honourable Mention - Philippines
• 2015 Lampara Book Illustrator’s Prize - Grand Prize - Philippines
Currently, he is an active member of various art organizations and exhibiting his works in the Philippines and other countries. All these achievements inspire Pepot to teach and share the joy of creating art in its many forms – children’s book illustration, animation, painting, sculpture, digital art and clay work.
