MARIA CRISTINA SISON

Maria Cristina Sison or Tinay, as known to her friends and colleagues, is a freelance artist. She has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts majored in Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas. Her love for visual arts led her to start a career in the animation industry and post-production as a 3D graphic artist, mainly focusing on textures, lighting, and compositing. 

Eventually, assigned to spearhead projects and became a CG Supervisor for a small 3D animation team. She is now doing more illustration projects, especially for children's books. A part-time instructor at Top Peg Institute of Animation and Design, teaching book illustration and imparting her experiences as an illustrator and CG artist to her students. Also, a member of Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan, a non-profit organization of children's book illustrators in the Philippines. 

She has always been interested in the fantasy genre, especially in the realm of faeries. As a result, she has numerous collections of faerie books, including faerie tarot cards designed and illustrated by the famous illustrator and conceptual designer Brian Froud
